1. What format do you use
for your courses?
The courses are books, booklets or an online format. The printed materials are designed to fit
in a
briefcase or file folder so you may use them for a reference at work or
home.
2. How soon will I receive
the course after I order?
The course(s) are shipped within 1 to 2 business days from when the order is
received. Courses are shipped via First Class, US Priority
Mail or Fed Ex Ground. The courses will arrive in 3 to 5
business days. If you order an email course the
course will be emailed the same or next business
day.
International orders: All orders are sent
via air mail. Additional fees are added to shipping
to cover the mailing costs. The fees vary based on
country where the package is shipped. Orders
to Canada take 10 to 14 days due to strict customs
inspections. Orders to other countries take
from 7 to 17 days.
3. Is next day delivery
available?
The courses can be sent Fed Ex for delivery on the next business day after
your order is processed. Saturday delivery requires special handling and is not available in all
areas. There is an extra charge for overnight delivery. Example: An
order is placed on Monday, shipped via Fed Ex on Tuesday, and you receive the
order on Wednesday.
4. How much time do I have
to complete the course?
The course needs to be completed within
one year from date of purchase.
5. Do you offer
discounts?
Group
Discounts: Call us at 866.257.1074 for information.
PTA
or OTA discounts: 10 or more hours must be
ordered to obtain this discount. This discount is
not available with online ordering, so please fax,
mail or call us to process the PTA/OTA
special.
Quantity
discounts: There is a 10% discount for 2-4
courses and 15% discount for 5 or more
courses.
Can
two or more people order on the same form so we
may obtain the discounts? Yes, however, there
are two requirements.
First,
the courses must be shipped to the same
address.
Second,
WE MUST HAVE THE NAME OF EACH INDIVIDUAL AND
WHICH COURSE EACH PERSON WILL TAKE. We enter the
names in the test database when the courses are
ordered so we need each person’s name and which
course they will take so the correct person
obtains credit for the course.
6. Do you have online or
email courses?
ALL courses are available in
paper format and can be sent by mail. Some courses
are available by email and some are available
online. On the order sheet these are identified in
the “Email or Online” column. Online
courses are also identified on the home page if
you order online. The courses available by
email are sent as an attachment to the email in
PDF format. With an email attachment,
you have the flexibility of printing the course or
reading these on your computer at your leisure.
The emailed course exam may be completed, printed,
and mailed or faxed to us.
7. How will I know you
received my order?
If you placed an order online,
you will receive an email confirmation. If you do
not receive a confirmation, your order did not go
through. The only way to know if we received your
fax is to call us at 866.257.1074.
8. May two people order one
course and take the test?
This option is only available
for some courses. These courses are 201,
204, 405, 406, 409, 410, 430, 702, 809, 812, 1000. The charge for
the second test is 50% of the cost of the course.
The extra examinations must be ordered at the same
time as the course. This service is not available
online. Please call for information.
9. Why does it say,
"courses approved" for some states and
not others?
Some states have an approval process, some states
have no approval process, and some states have
reciprocal approval. In states where there is an
approval process, an application for the course is
submitted to either the state board or state
association by PTcourses.com. The state board or
state association “approves the course.” To
say that a course is approved in a non-approval
state would be misleading, as there is no approval
process. Last, some state boards have a reciprocal
approval. In other words, if the course is
approved by another state board, then that course
is automatically approved in that state.
10. May I take a course if I
am in one of the states you do not offer
courses?
YES. We have many PTs and OTs who take courses from states where we do not
specifically offer courses. In this
case, the state has a process where the individual therapist may seek approval.
You should check with your state board to see what the process is in your
own state.
11. How do I obtain a
certificate?
After reading the materials, completing the cover sheet,
exam and the
survey in INK, please mail, or fax the
exam, survey, and signed cover sheet.
Certificates for online courses are emailed to you
as soon as you pass the exam.

You should retain the
certificate as documentation that you completed
the course.
12. How quickly do you grade
the exams?
FAST. We grade the exam in 1 to 2 business days of
receipt and then send the certificate the next business day. We can mail,
email, or fax the certificate to you as requested on the cover sheet in the area
marked “to receive your certificate provide your address below.”
For online courses, the
certificate is generated and emailed to you as soon as you pass the exam.
13. Should I mail my exam by
certified mail - will this
speed up the process?
NO –
this delays the processing. DO NOT mail
examinations by certified mail.
14. Do I have to sign the
cover sheet?
YES – When you sign the cover sheet, you are certifying that YOU took the
examination and you are certifying THE DATE you completed the course. We must
have a signature. Please fill
out the cover sheet, exam and survey in
ink. The cover sheet should be faxed or mailed to us at 830.438.4573 along
with the completed exam and survey.
15. But what if I take a
course by email?
The
course will arrive as a PDF file attached to your
email.
Open
the document and save the document on your desktop.
You
may read the course on your screen or print the
course.
Complete
the course and then: (If you have not already done
so)
Print
the cover sheet, exam and survey
and complete these in INK.
Pencil does not fax well.
Be
sure to sign the cover sheet then mail or fax
the cover sheet, exam and survey to:

Your certificate will be mailed to
you upon completion of the exam. Your certificate
may be emailed or faxed by request.
16. What date do you put on
the certificate?
The date on the certificate is the date you write on the cover sheet and
certify that you completed the exam.
17. What happens if I lose
my certificate?
Replacement
certificates are available by mail for $10 each. Certificates can be replaced by
contacting us at 866.257.1074.
18. Are your courses
approved for OT's?
Please visit
OTCourses.com for a complete listing of our courses
available to OT's.
19. Do I have to take the online course
all at once or can I start and then come back at a
later time?
You do not have to complete the course at one
time. You have access to the course for one year
from the date of enrollment. You can read a
section take a break and come back as many times as you
wish during this one year time period.
When returning to the course, go to
PTcourses.com, click on the link to the course,
click online course, then click ALREADY ENROLLED.
Login with your user id and password. IMPORTANT:
Your answers will NOT save if you do not complete the
entire exam in one sitting. If needed, write down
your answers and then enter the answers all at one time.
20. What is your Refund Policy?
1. Products purchased in error (for example the
incorrect course or quantity) are refunded as soon as
PTcourses.com has been notified and as long as the
notification occurs prior to shipping.
2. Once the courses are shipped the courses
must be returned (within 30 days) before any refund is
processed. A full refund of the course fee will be
processed (minus shipping) as long as the materials have
not been used and are in their original condition.
Return shipping will be at the purchaser’s
expense. PTcourses will not be liable for any
claims of non-receipt of merchandise returned to
PTcourses.
3. Online courses are NOT refundable once the course
has been accessed.
4. In order to obtain a refund or exchange, you
must provide your correct e-mail address, mailing
address, phone and credit card information.
21. What is your privacy
policy?
Privacy
Policy: At PTcourses.com we recognize that privacy
is important. Personal information is collected
during the purchase, registration and completion
of courses. Cookies
are used to
collect the answer to each exam question and then
score the exam. We
may share information with third parties (state
physical therapy boards) in limited circumstances,
including when complying with legal processes,
preventing fraud or imminent harm, and ensuring
the security of our network and services. To
protect your privacy we DO NOT share any personal
information outside of state physical therapy
boards or when directed to by legal authorities.
NO information is ever sold or shared with any
business outside of PTcourses.com.
22. Do you send certificates to the Canadian
Alliance of Physiotherapy?
We automatically send certificates for those
with a mailing address in Canada and the exam is mailed
or faxed to us. If the course is taken ONLINE call
us at 1-866-257-1074 and let us know that you need a
certificate sent to the Alliance. The computer is
NOT programmed to automatically send certificates to the
Alliance so please let us know and we will send one for
you.

How do I enroll in online testing?
Please
call 1-866-257-1074 from 9-5 CST Monday-Friday
within 30 days of placing your order and one of our
friendly staff will enroll you. There is no
charge for enrolling. Please have your license
number and ordering information ready for the staff
(order #, order code and date ordered)
How
long do I have to take the exam(s) after I enroll?
One
year from the date of purchase.
How
will I receive my certificate?
When
you complete the online exam the certificate will be
emailed to you within a matter of minutes.
Do
I have to take all exams online?
No.
You make take as many exams on line as you like.
